Hi this is 10BK from Kingsbury High School. This our blog page for the charity War Child. We are trying to help raise awareness for War Child by first saying what War Child is, What problems they have seen and how we and you can help.
It all started when we were learning about the rights all children have.
To us it seemed right for us to all have education, a place to live and food and water to eat and drink.
That's just normal.
But when we saw some pictures of kids from Iraq playing on a tank, we thought it was sad, but we didn't understand why they were smiling.
We came to realise they didn't know any better; for them, this was normal life.
Is this fair? Is this right?

Absolutely not! Children are entitled to grow up in a safe, nuturing, happy and loving environment - one of the biggest injustices today is that thousands of young people around the world are denied these rights. It is important that we stand up against this injustice, raise awareness and work towards bringing about change. 10BK you are making an important contribution to doing this. I am incredibly impressed by your hard work and dedication. You should be very proud of yourselves, as I am of you.
